One of the best reds you can taste in the Okanagan region. Highly recommend the Cabernet Sauvignon, Reserve 7 and NBO.
Today the winery is owned by Ge Song of Beijing. The winery continues to make renovations as their popularity increases. Their production is 12000 cases. The winery owns Blue Terrace Vineyards in Oliver.
Mary McDermott is the winemaker. Mary‚s focus is toenhancethe winery's Bordeaux-style reds, add a Champagne-style sparkling range, and to produce more single-vineyard wines. This is Township 7's second location. They opened their original location (2001) in Langley's Township 7. Since the winery was so successful they felt it would be wrong to change the name at the Naramata location. Two of the seven acres on the property were planted to grapes in the spring of 2004, with more plantings planned for 2005. The retail wine shop housed in the newly built winery opened in August, 2004.
Besides the vineyards in Langley and on the Naramata Bench, grapes for Township 7 Vineyards and Winery wines are grown in the Oliver area of British Columbia, a great location for growing grapes for the more full-bodied Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrahs and Chardonnays that Township 7 produces.
