Family owned and operated using serious farming and hands off wine making. Lock & Worth wines are honest, single vineyard wines of time and place. We strongly believe that one should be able to drink high quality, single vineyard, small production wines that are priced reasonably from British Columbia.
The partners are Ross Hackworth, the owner of Nichol Vineyard, and Matthew Sherlock. The winery was launched as Clean Slate but, after a trademark conflict with a German wine brand, the partners switched to a name crafted from their surnames.
The location use to be the home of Poplar Grove winery before they moved. It is a better location tourist wise for Ross. Here too he can try more varietals than he is able to at Nichol Vineyards. Lock & Worth Winery shares a tasting room with Poplar Grove Cheese.

We strongly believe that one should be able to drink high quality, single vineyard (non-commodity), small production wines that are priced reasonably from British Columbia. We plan to be around 20 years from now, not by becoming a large company but by creating a sustainable business within our community. For us part of that means making wines that always over deliver.
